| I've been riding 66MM 97A wheels. I'm ready for a change! Is there an advantage to smaller wheels? I've noticed that many vert pros and legends ride 59-62 mm, like Grosso. Why not ride 65mm? Aren't they faster? |

| they're faster at the top end; but they accelerate a good bit slower.. and in a lot of terrain, you never even get the big wheels up to speed before you turn or change directions somehow and then it's back to acceleration again. |

Might be faster on a shortboard, but not on a longboard. 66mm is a pretty short wheel and 55mm is like a "bearing cover"  Go 70+ for speed. |

| I think longwoodskater skates mostly tranny. So depending on the type of transition would be relative to the size of the wheel. I would think that on a long board the smallest I would go would be 63.mm Like Shitfire O.G. or Skaterbuilt P.S.F ( anything that would require a smaller wheel might be a little too tight for a "longboard") . I have been riding my Trim Delux at the local metal ramp park with my 81a 70mm flashbacks (ditch setup) seems to work pretty good.But smaller wheels seem to excellerate faster and therefor pump a little easier. |

| I dunno, I have a Lib Tech Donna Matrix 38 set up with Bones SPF 60's and she's plenty fast and nice and low and nimble. |

| those are all pretty excellent wheels... on the right surface; those SPF 64's are downright scary..... if you get a chance sometime, though-- try out some of the SHitBird IPS 60's or the 60mm Spf Bombers (the wide Powell ones) -- if you are riding mini's or smaller park settings, those will kick some ass for ya... |
