Hey, Ive got a run of Mesh Caps to print today, fast!
I have this mad looking cap printing jig that i picked up with my carrousel. it has a small flat board and a piece of bent metal that you hook the back over to keep the front prinatable area tight and flat. anyone ever used one of these before? any advise? how the hell do you dry a mesh cap too, I have to print it in phosfluressant (glow in the dark) plastersol. i'm guessing i can't put it though the dryer. I've got a run of 10 caps to do and ive got 10 caps, no room for mistakes.

hey Ryan
cheers bro. that does sound like a much safer option, but i've no access to a heat press today. it's on screen now and that sketchy looking jig is ready to go. Wish me luck

use you flash dryer to cure them
and use the temp gun
they don't have to be as perfectly cured as a shirt
since noone will ever wash it |

It went well, didn't get a photo cause me camera was out of batteries. The mesh caps i was using were polyester, so the after flashing the first one i found that the material had shrunk and i couldn't register a second hit. So, i stuck a load of puff base in the ink (the ink was white) and just gave it a few heavy hits. Then cured it with the flash gun. Worked a treat! I also found that that because the material was spungy, having any snap meant i couldn't get a lot of ink down and keep the detail, so i got rid of all the snap and it was super sharp.
Cheers for your help!
