That Sonic deck is older than 1998, by 98 Sonic was already out of business. Sonic was the Obriens company under the NHS umbrella. Simon Woodstock was one of the pros as was Tom Knox and Jason Adams.

Thus far, I've been able to deduce that Sonic Skateboards started producing skateboards no later than 1993, and stopped around 1998 -- with about 40 decks under their belt. My "Reaper" deck was apparently a 'team' deck produced in 1995.

See my above quote. I just happened to find it still hanging on the wall of my local skate shop in 1998 where I was told it had been there for a while -- possibly since 1995.

Thanks for the additional info!

As far as the mini-hijack on the Hammerhead topic...

YES! Those Hosoi Hammerheads are the UGLIEST decks around... so please do yourselves a favor and send them all to me so that you won't be shunned by your peers for uglying up the rest of your collection.

Noted, and double noted.

That Hosoi deck is still nasty. UGH. as far as how much it is worth- you are right, I wouldn't cry about having it in my collection, as long as I didn't have to look at it.

I don't have too many "classics", so can't say I can help you with the liberation toolman.

It was 95. I asked corey at his club a few years back and he said possibly 94.
