I've never ridden a longboard. i've been thinking about getting one. maybe a dogtown longboard that i saw on soulmachine.com.

anyway, i was wondering if longboards help reduce speed wobbles. i know we've all experienced the wobbles. but is it all truck related or does the length of the deck just give you more stability overall.

The only thing that helps reduce speed wobbles are Randall DH trucks. The only problem is you have to be doing at least 25mph to get them turning. Truth is you can get speed wobbles on pretty much any board it's more mental than anything else. The more comfortable you get at going fast the less wobbles you will get. Take your time, and get your nerve up. Dont start at the top of a hill and just bomb it, start in the middle andwork your way up. BTW the Dogtown longboards are good for starting out.
