Hey guys,
I bought a longboard last summer, and I want to replace the bearing with some smoother ones.

I'd also consider getting some harder wheels.

What are some recomendations?

Actualy, I should of added this too...regarding the wheels

there alittle grippy, not sure of the density, but there softer.
I want something i can do slides with, is there anything recommended for that?

Rockin' Rons are the ONLY bearings worth consdering-

great quality, great guarantee, great service...

Sector 9 and Rainskates make great wheels for a longboard.

You can go over to http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com and read all the reviews and then the discussion forum posts about longboard wheels, bearings, whatever.

I would recommend Abec-11 "Strikers" or "No schools" with Abec-11 "Bilten" bearings. Go with a harder duro (at least 81a or higher). The Bilten bearings have the spacers built into them and they would hold up much better if you do a lot of sliding.

Rockn Ron's, Biltins, or Mini-Logo's if you're on a budget. The NiNjA's are very good, too.

I've been riding Retro Berts on my homemade 36" tank, with generic abec 5's , 81A, really smooth and a little faster than some of the 78A's that most longboarders use...check them out
