For those in the know.
Gauge thickness.... Which is thicker 100 or 200?
I've been using 100, and it just seems to thick.
Stuff sounds like a bad drum head when you flick it w/ you finger.

additional question, is there a difference in the plastic itself.
some seems more brittle than others. others more stretchy. etc.
i know sometime time and exposure are a factor, but just curious if there is a difference to start with. |

we use shhrink film tubing.
it is PVC nice and clear glossy,
but brittle,
breaks easier.
but it is the only one available in tubing.
if you want the goods,
the flexible stuff on all big boy boards at the shop,
you need polyolefin film.
have fun trying to seal down the length of the board.
cause this crap only comes in centerfold film.
so you have to seal 3 sides.
you will need a 36 inch sealer to do this stuff.
they are like a G $
so we stick with the 12 inch sealer,
shrinkfilm tubing PVC from shipit 800 481 3600
then run them into the screen print dryer tunnel.
flip over and run again.
it takes 1 guy all day, 8 hours to do 400 boards and box them up. |
