Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows or has pictures of how manufacturers make consistent wheel wells? I've used the end of a stationary belt sander but it was finicky and inconsistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think most use the jig and barrel sander method. Likely a custom machine with 4 barrels that cut the wells at the same time.

Some use routers. Some are CNC'd.

Check out Powell's Future Primitive video. They have a section where it shows boards being made. One shot shows the wheel wells being sanded. It's funny at the end of the section because they put a blank deck in the screen printer and with the help of editing the two color top dragon logo is printed with one pass.
