You can always just buy one, of course it's more money, but it will save in time and mess ups in the long run... |

you should be able to find a used BlackBody flash for like $200 -$300 US. BlackBody also sells just the heater unit, and you make a stand.
A good flash is really important for multicolour work (speed and consistancy of heat) since over flashing or underflashing will ruin shirts. I would try to go 12"x18" or 18"x18" if you can. |

why re-invent the wheel? How much cheaper can it be to make a flash, as opposed to buying one for $250 and being done with it? don't start a fire either, a bad stand and a falling flash = badness |

Thanks for the compliment Cody, I hope to have it completely done by spring. I'm just messing with the music page when I have time and just trying to figure out a nice simple layout...
Edit = Jeff from Toonopoly helped me out... |

gotcha . . . I guess I just don't like to wait. how big? Make sure you find some way to make it coolish to the touch, I had one that got red hot and I have lots of burns. Big caster wheels are key, so you can roll over cords and a super wide base to make it tip proof. I am sure you know all this.
I want a quarts flash. they can flash a shirt in less a second, are timed so they shoot and cool in moments. apparently you can start fires if you put it at 3 seconds . . I hate my current flash. |
