Anyone got any pics / stories of anything significant?

We may not have drought but we've definitely got the hydro power (in more ways than one) yet I've seen/heard very little over the years about

I saw what muat have been 20'er leftovers on way to Manic 5, this massive hydro dam north of Baie Comeau QC in 70's. I didn't have my boad with me then and wouldn't have known what to do with it if I did....but have though of that many times since.

Anybody got any good ones?

I found this picture a while ago of the Manic 5 pipes, the picture was taken in 1968.

I found some 20ft metal full pipes in Lac St-Jean in the early 80s i was able to skate one of the 3 for 10 minutes before i got busted, it was totally worth the trouble!

It's really far out!
North of Qubec, where you can see a huge circle formed by a meteorite.

There's a great clip of Calgary's pipe:

You may go to YouTube to view the video by clicking below...
YouTube Video

When I was there I watched a local riding the thing and it was really impressive. The amount of time floating at the peak of his lines was just crazy. And to pump that size of transition is interesting to watch. The half-pipe connected to that pipe is huge. There's good video of Hawk riding it in one of his skatepark tour videos ... he is heard to say "this thing is huge".

I also skated Newmarket in 79 and it was the best bowl in the Toronto area. (although, unlike now, Newmarket was in the middle of nowhere). I saw Campbell skate there a couple of times and have pics of him skating our vert ramp in Kitchener Ontario (no full pipe there). I only mention this because I never thought I'd ever hear anyone else mention him ... he was tops locally, but I didn't know that anyone else had ever heard of him. How about Mike Lammert ...? (also a local guy I skated with quite a bit, although he was way more talented than me).

Pic of both of them in Kitchener:

You shot it or you're skating? ... 'cause having been there, I can truly appreciate what is being done in that massive terrain ... I've watched that video about 50 times.

(I managed to open up my elbow slamming in that halfpipe and spent the rest of our cross-country trip watching it scab up ... the day I was there the bottom of the pipe had water in it ... looked like a bit of a drainage problem).
