1982 right? I was thinking about this video just last night. In the Powell ad in Thrasher december 1982 there is a small pic of the video box; no graphics just a big Scotch 3M logo. $25.00 then.

No, the first one is actually 8 minutes. Amazingly short, but it was very cool when it first came out.

If you can follow this link:

You may be able to get a copy. But I could not follow the names and places listed in this link, so I never scored a copy. Let me know if you have better luck.

Nothing. In the link you posted "Alans in Wigan' is a skateshop in Wigan, UK. Their address is:

66 Market Street
Wigan
England
WN1 1HX

phone: +44 1942 826598.

I sent them an email about the vid just now and they replied straight away telling me it was only on cine film and never released on vhs or dvd. Not sure if that is true, but he didn't hint about having a copy.

I've been trying to find the same video, with no luck so far. I have part of the video but not the whole thing. However, I do believe it was available on video in 82.

Long story short: I got the Mullen section (which has him skating on an outdoor roller hockey rink) from a friend in California in the late 80s who got his copy from Ray Meyer (the Santa Cruz freestyler). Maybe someone knows Ray out there ... I don't know. But I'd be willing to copy the section I have and would trade or buy a copy of the whole video if someone has it.

Yes, it was available on video in '82. The powell ads in Thrasher at the time show it, no cover, just a big 3M box.

What's Mullen's skating like?
