Well, After not having too much joy with the last 5 point sample, I`ve decided to make the whole thing a lot more elaborate,,,
But i don`t see this sitting too well on a single board, I`m thinking I might have to make a 2 or 3 board series out of this...
And I do realise that 5 point said he wasn`t much into this style, but I`m keeping this for my own now....

Any better, any opiniions..anything.....

I like this one a lot more. Are you thinking of cutting that peice into three or is that just one of the series? Horizontal or vertical? Looks damn good though.

Well, I was thinking that I`d cut it vertically, and just make sure there was enough going on in each panel to make a decent graphic, But in all honesty, This was fun as hell, so I`m more inclined now to do another few battlescenes, and maybe leave this one as is somehow,,,

As a triptych...the right and left would rock...the center less so. Adding some detail to the center area would make it VERY cool.. My 2

Yeah, your right, the centre`s a touch weak..What i was thinking was maybe add a battered flag, or maybe some more of those spikes, with a head on em or something, I just needed some space to seperate the two charectors at either side, Battered flag/standard thing maybe, I could even add some type of warriors trying to attack that castle...

Triptych...Is that the actual term for a three in a row, all outta one graphic?

From the fine folks at Websters...

Main Entry: triptych
Pronunciation: 'trip-(")tik
Function: noun
Etymology: Greek triptychos having three folds, from tri- + ptychE fold
1 : an ancient Roman writing tablet with three waxed leaves hinged together
2 a : a picture (as an altarpiece) or carving in three panels side by side b : something composed or presented in three parts or sections;

I retained something from the cannabis tinged clouds surrounding Art School...

Ha..thanks..I retained something from art school too, but it was debt..

Triptych..

You all got me thinking here, What`s the general consensis on these things? Does anyone like em particularly?
Me, i`ve never been all that keen on em because i figure you`d have to get all of the series, Or really dig the artist doing them enough to get the series for collection value, but alas, ain`t nobody following my art enough to do that...
But from an artwhore perspective, I`d be getting so much more from my graphic, but that could just be me being lazy/greedy i suppose...

Back to the question...What`s the general consensis on these things? Does anyone like em particularly?

Triptychs (or multi-panelled art) as skate art are sorta self -gratifying. From an Artistic stand...VERY COOL, from a buyers p.o.v. cool but expensive. I say stroke yourself for art's sake they'll either buy or not.
