Does anyone know how all the bigger skate companies are doing regarding music in there videos. Do they have permission and paying artists to have music in there videos? or do they just take it and hope nothing will happen? For instance the DC video when Danny Way have Metallica in his part.

They pay or they will end up in big trouble. Zoo York had to promo thier video "Vicious Cycle" because they had uncleared music. Most companies know better than to mess around with the music/publishing industry, becuase they *will* find out and make them pay one way or another. So yes, DC cleared that part beforehand, all all the other music on that video.
