I planned for like forever to get a new ride - moving up from my 1986 Alva Jeff Hartsell -

I was going to get a Powell Logo and looked to you guys for some help on the trucks:
"L'il Help Picking Out Trucks for Powell Logo"
http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36019&highlight=)

and I thought about some new wheels with the thread on:
"Conicals still Hip for Vert Skating?"
http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36049&highlight=

Then I sold my Burton - "1981 Burton Backhill Goofy Foot w/warranty & brochures" - http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35478&highlight=

So that helped finance the deck ... but when I went on line to buy the Logo - I checked out Mile High - and dude - they had this new Duane Peters and it was like an inch wider than the Logo - cool. I am partial to DP's having owned two backc in the 80's - "Painted SC Duane Peters and Crappy Tapped PP Jay Smith Snub" -
http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35445&highlight=

But then I really had a truck issue - so I checked out what I had in the basement - and I had these old MotoBilts - that I used to use on my Seaflex Boomcat.

I also stuck with my Bones Sk8 Park Formula Standards 58mm.

And finally - the Burton also financed a family vacation to Florida which included several trips to the very sweet Sarasot skatepark.
"Sarasota Park Info":

The Sarasota park is totally hot - and the people there are super friendly.
I also ran into some other old guys on vacation skating there - 39 and 42 years old - I'm 41 - so I was in good company.

More info on the park:

The plan didn't all work out.

I skated at Drop In park on Monday and tweaked a knee and ankle on this nasty slippery skatelite mini half - OUCH - give me crete.

Can't wait to heal and checkout Sayreville in NJ or Fitchburg or Hyde Park in MA!

Skate on old guys!

How is Fitchburg? It's about an hour from me.

Is it worth the trip?

What sort of terrain for vert riders?

Crowded?

It looks like a cool place.

its alot bigger(more spread out) once at ground level, but im guessing that was a really cold day very early in teh AM. ive never seen it so clean, or empty. they also could have cleared it for the pic for the image since its a state/park taken shot.
