My buddy and I are planning a North Virginia roundup in about 2 weeks. Arlington, Fredericksburg, and Laurel ( maybe Landsdown) are in the cards. Any suggestions?

knuckelhead and letsgoskatepool can give you the run down on which parks to hit up there.

Frederick is cool. Walk up to the gate and hand the keeper $5.00. If they ask if you are from the city of Frederick, say YES.

If they ask if you have a waiver on file, say YES.

Otherwise the charge will be $10 to skate.

No lights, fucked up hours... Helmets required

Arlington, VA is the best bet. Free and unsupervised most of the time, supervised and pay to play other times. Arlington has lights. Walk up and hand the gate keeper (if you go during the supervised sessions) $4.00. If they ask if you are from Arlington, say YES! Otherwise it will be $6.00. No waivers are needed for Arlington. Helmets required.

Landsdowne is hit or miss. It depends if the gate keeper shows up. I haven't been back there in well over a year. I believe waivers are needed, along with all pads.

Waldorf, MD (Charles County, MD) is a blast, but it features even more fucked up hours than Frederick. Waivers, full pads + it is a long drive.

Laurel? only modular I think. Why bother?

Fredericksburg... Go to Stafford and skate the ECRW bowl. I think the park it is located in is called Brooks Park.

Check out this link for all the parks in the MD/VA/DC area.
