I use Quickbooks Point of Sale joined with Quickbooks Pro.
I had to have someone set it up for me, but once it was up and working, I can add stuff to inventory very easily. Plus, Quickbooks has a Credit card deal to work directly with your checking account. |

Quickbooks POS is a very good piece of software. Pricey but worth it. Managing inventory is very helpful. I am amazed at the amount of shops that have no inventory control and therefore have no idea what their inventory shrinkage (theft) is. |

You can get POS packages from Dell. It comes with computer, cash drawer, Barcode scanner, credit card keyboard, receipt printer, and Quickbooks.
I've heard NOT to get the touch-screen monitor. I guess it's too hard to use. |

I know another skate shop owner who's using a different POS program. It's pretty cheap. I'll get the name of it in the next couple of days and post it here. |
