Notaint I forgot somethings about the wheel base. You need to make registration marks on the deck while it is in the press. This can be done on one deck at a time or more. Ok after I press a deck I grab a pencil and I trace the edge of my mold onto the deck over the end of the tail, and also on the sides on all four corners, because my veneer sticks out of the sides and the ends of my mold slightly. These marks tell me on each uncut exactly where center is. I do this by measuring bettween the marks when I start to mark out my wheelbase holes. If my mold is 9.5 in wide and I want to find the center then I measure 4.75 from the registration mark I made earlier. The center lengthwise can be found by measuring from the mark on the tail. I would like to know if any of this helps. |

Dear Skinny,
Do you think you will ever expand your operation and do the whole OEM thing.

I'll give a try on my next deck thanks.
Do you know where I can get the gang drill bit? I'm asking the wife for a drill press for the birthday. |

You are going to have to start at a tool and die shop that sells milling accessories. They are usually a per order thing, even once you locate the two heads you will need to make the press stand and table. I say start with the standard drill press and then start your investigation on the gang drill. A proper one is a large investment. for the standard drill press try harbor freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/ |
