Where do most shops/onlinestores get their decks from?
Arn't they like $36 for a pro deck from any "leading distributor," yet I've seen many an online shop which sell them at $25-35. Where do THEY get their decks from and for how much? |

The big guys charge 34.95-36.95 for decks, sometimes as with any biz you can get closeouts and that is what you see for 25-30. They are last years stuff or someone went out of biz. We www.jwiddist.com have decks ranging from 26.95-34.95. Just depends on the company and how much they want to make. Hope this helps.

I know a lot of major online retailers don't order from normal online distributors (awh, Eastern Skate Supply, etc.) like shops do. Instead, they order directly from the companies eliminating the middle man to save money. I'm not sure how much the price drops exactly, but we're talking about thousands of decks, so every dollar counts. I've been wondering how Eastern Skate Supply's rates are and how much companies usually sell to them for ...if anybody knows, help me out on that one. |

I heard Eastern runs on 17% profit margin
They do like 5 million in business a year?
I buy alot of my product direct from the companies and you might save a dollar or 2 on decks. If you plan on holding demos and autograph signings and premiere parties then this is the only way to go because you can build a relationship with the companies. And distributors don't carry a companies full line so sometimes you can't get what you need or what the kids want.
The nice thing about distributors ie South Shore, Eastern. AWH, is that you can buy multiple products, from multiple companies and save on shipping. And you can order online and track the packages.
Buy $2000 from eastern get free shipping.
Buy $1000 from south Shore get free shipping. |

Yeah Reggie does a ton of biz for sure. 17% though seems a little low but maybe. I know he gets a better deal from companies then someone like me cause he buys in such volume. But if you are looking for a wide variety of stuff those places are the way to go.

We buy the bulk of our stock from South Shore. Good prices, good service, and good selection. |
