Does anyone have a screen printing video they could copy/dont need/would sell. Maybe you know where to download one or get a good one for cheap.
I'm gathering materials for one color prints just so I can get the hang of everything. I'm really stoked to try my hand at it and plan to have alot of fun and failure.
Thanks in advance |

Check the library. If not a video, you should be able to pick up some books that would be helpful. |

I got a printing kit from my girlfriend for V-day. Its pretty standard...screen, hinges, emulsion, drawing fluid, screen filler, acrylic and fabric ink. It has process colors....but they are acrylic....no good for shirts, right? It also came with a video that sucks....its interesting and all but they guy is a total moron and it doesnt show things in detail, its like a cooking show!!
I still need to get a light and an emulsion scoopy thing. After I master the crappy inks I'll get some plastisol and a flash dryer.
Thats the news for now, I'm gonna go play with stuff. |

Yeah I've checked them out before, they seem cool. I was talking to them about making a deck screen but they wernt very good with emails. I guess calling is the way to go. I figure building my own frame is also the way to go...once I figure out all this printing stuff, which I'm really stoked about.
I just had some fun with my paints but since I can't expose an image yet I tried to screen through an old stencil but the stencil is too thick and I couldnt get good contact.Hopefully tomorrow(today) I can get a light and emulsion thingy and print something up.
I put some blue on the left and some yellow on the right and mixed them in the middle and got some nice Vision color shifting action goin on.
Cant wait to print a burned image on a shirt, even if its with newb ink. |
