Got to check out that issue today. Has some great coverage of many things happening right now.
Good article and photos of Team Goon (Punk Rock Skateboards) rider Kevin Staab and co.
Preview of Sean Cliver's (kicker) new book coming out with some great deck photos, including at least one of my decks.
I heard a bunch of positive feedback about that issue. Check it out.
Good to meet Michael Brooke in person! |

It hurt my eyes to read the pictured pages from Cliver's book. |

PLEASE- someone explain the Staab article. it was interesting, but at the same time it was one of the most completely fucked up pieces of writing I have ever seen in my life anywhere. Was the interviewer interviewing himself? Did anyone actually talk to Staab? Does Staab only allow a representative speak for him? Kind of terrible actually. |

No idea. I didn't edit that piece. I will alert Michael to your question though. |

Thanks Slob. It may seem stupid, but I felt mad about it for some reason when I read it. Like I'd been cheated or something. Would be great to get an explanation. |

I was stoked to find out there was an interview with Staab(he's one of my all time favorites). I was really let down when I got the mag though. It seemed as though they interviewed a friend and the friend was answering for him because he was out of the country and couldn't do the interview. I think the worst thing was he was on the cover so the expectation was really high. I'm not diggin' on the mag its still the best out there. I just thought the interview was a let down. |

Yea, why not just do the interview and let him speak for himself? Rad Backside Ollie. |
