I was just wondering how the wheels from the 80's in particular the bullets where printed and why it isnt done like that today! I've had my bullets for ages and the grahics dont even look like they will ever come off. Most wheels today loose their graphics after a few weeks or so.... can anyone explain??
The shape of the wheel is why wheels today loose their graphics so quick. They showed some of the process on one of the episodes of SK8 TV back in the day.

I can shed some light. Back then ink litho stamping was the main process and it penetrated the surface of the wheel. Now 99% of all wheels are done via heat transfer process and it does not adhear as well.
