This ever happen to anyone else? I was at a park skating a bowl and this crowd of 9-13 year olds just dropping in on EVERYONE, totally ignoring any sort of running order. Finally I just started to blatantly drop in on them, but it was still annoying.

not nearly as annoying as the ones that just chill in the bowl and dont get out. then you just gotta skate around them.

just remind that in a collision your 200lb body (i'm guesstimating) will easily crush their 80lbs body!!!!

one of my favorites is the "halfpipe in the bowl" trick...

if you aren't gonna turn or carve, go skate the halfpipe

Nice to get some support. Hopefully next time there will be a contingent of older people and we can wreak some havoc on those cocky little sheets.

This is good in theory, but at Arlington there is no halfpipe. Little kids just sit there and go back and forth in the little section, and then stray into the big section every 5 min.

and as 4.5 said, you're bigger - any collision is gonna hurt them a lot more. If kids start dropping in and not waiting, I just start snaking them. If we both are in the bowl - I'm not gonna get out until I'm finished my run.

i think PART of the rude behavior is them being kids. so a little patience is needed but i never had these problems at the parks i went to, we generally took turns and were respectful of others. todays climate in parks might be different, who knows.

and it could be they view you as some old fart or something and think you cant do shit or you shouldnt be there.

the LITTLE kids, under 10 are annoying as shit and the ones you have to watch out for the msot and give the most patience to.

my advice? build a ramp in your backyard if you can, or hit a private skatepark, the scene is smaller so less chance of being snaked.

rude people suck. why not say something? i dont mean yell but actually talk to em about park behavior and giving other people a chance? couldnt hurt? and as an adult they might be more prone to listen to you because you are an adult.

Yeah I had some of the fruitbooters doing that to me at the Project 58 bowl, so I just started dropping in anyway, just about knocked one of the little sissies out. I had visions of Monty Nolder and Lance Mountain all over again.

Sitting in the bowl, playing tag, and sitting with feet dangling over the coping annoy the hell out of me. I usually just ask nicely if they could move, and add something like, I don't want to hurt you or run you over. How about the bladers getting stuck in the bowl, and not being able to climb out without taking off their fruitboots? That kills me every time.
