and if so, from where?
i'm thinking about putting some rails on my board. i always liked rails, made it easier to grab the board and hold to it and made sliding easier.
i think it would also help make the board a little stronger, though i might be wrong about that.
i'm thinking about getting some from eastbilt, they have some fairly cheap ones and two different sizes. |

www.loosetrucks.com has some too.
I just put on some santa cruz slimline rails and they are awesome. A little bigger than black label or powell thin ribs, but not too oversized. |

i use powell peralta thinribs. they are very hard and slide fast. they only come in orange and are sort of small, but they last forever. |

here's a follow up question.
do you bend em to match the curve of the board? (for those whose deck has a shape)
i use to bend mine, but i'm thinking straight this time since the board doesnt have a lot of shape to it. |

Always. I have a variety from a variety of places: Zorlac rails, OG Uglystix, Z-Rails, Powell rib-bones, G&S rails... and Slob-Stix, my very own, short-lived rail brand. Tall and thin. Wish I had more of them. |

careful with the big uglys, i have cut my hands on the insides of them doing grabs. i use the firm/blacklabel rails (same product) and i have a set of thin ribs. |

I like the bent rail look better than straight, but that's just me...
It's a little harder to install em the bent way.
Q-tip: When installing bent rails, tap AND screw in one screw at a time, then bend the rail prior to tapping subsequent screws.

Yup I use em. I have bent them in the past in order to conform to the shape of the board, but I mainly ride pigs, so there hasn't been much need.
Crooks OG 14.5"
Tall and thin, great for newer decks with deep concaves, eliminates the need to set them in too far. |
