mesh count for printing t shirts

what mesh count do you use for printing detailed designs on t shirts?

Start at 230 for any detailed work. If you go any higher you will be printing on vinyl or plastic or specialty paper. Hope it helps.

but it depends very much on the type of ink you use.

the water based ink I use for teeshirts is not very liquid (it makes it more opaque and really steady), so it's better to use it with a large mesh. Otherwise it's a mess when you have to wash your mesh. And it dries quickly in the mesh.

If you have a more liquid type of ink, solvent based ink or uv inks, perhaps it will be easier to use a more precise mesh and print more details.

At my shop I use plastisol inks. My average meshcount is 155-175. I only bust out the 230 for super fine detail and only use 300 when I'm doinf process printing.

when you printed the zorlac ts what mesh count was used ??
