There's this really hot stuff called Matouk's that I like.
I also found this stuff at the Natural Food Market called Rocco's. It is the only sauce I've found that has no vinegar in it and it tastes great. It's not tangy...all heat!
But this stuff from the asian market I use like catsup! Sriracha

I've got a jug of that - it's Vietnamiese (sp?) if I recall correctly, good stuff.
Frank's for wings (OG)
Taken a liking to chipotle flavor over the past few years...
Tabasco (red only) on eggs
Alot of those ultra hot sauces are just wacked out labels w/ pretty much the same stuff inside...
I like hot, but you've gotta have the flavor along w/ it. |

I couldn't agree more.
The hottest of those gimmicky sauces I've found is Spontaneous Combustion. A small drop from your finger to your tongue will change your day.
There's another one called Backdraft that is actually very good. A little spicy, but very tangy. I can't remember what in the hell the dish is that I like to put it on so much (there's a call in to THM to jog my memory), but it's some sort of Asian dish.
The Sriracha does not have the rooster on the smaller bottles. It's available at decent grocery stores around here, not just at ethnic grocers. |

The dish that the Backdraft goes well on is just dumplings with ground pork, Nappa cabbage, ginger, soy sauce, wine, sesame seed oil and maybe a few other ingredients in it.
Deeeeelicious. Like Dee-Lite. |

For tacos, Valentina
The rooster shit is great marinade for chicken, then on a firey grill to get all black and crispy. |

I worked at this place while I was in high school called Firehouse Subs. Our gimmick was the hundreds of hot sauces we kept on hand.
Over the year or so I worked there I must have eaten hundreds.
My 2 favorites are Dave's Hurtin' Habanero and the Ring of Fire Roasted Garlic.
The hottest I had was called Habanero 750. It was basically pure habanero extract. Came in a bottle with a medicine dropper. My friends and I would eat it everyday until it wasn't bad anymore and then have some customer try it.. They'd be reluctant, but once they saw us eat it with no problem, they'd give it a go.. I'm surprised we were never fired for that.. |
