so, last friday I climb mount fuji. it`s a killer.
the next day I drive to my friends house on the other side of tokyo (mobara) and Im in major pain from climbing.
anyway, Near his house I spot a new 6 foot high,(8 foot transitions) 16 foot wide mini ramp, with a 2 foot by 3 foot tombstone, in front of a skate shop. I`m sooooo stoked. Mrs Altomics reaction - "SHIT, crack a fat why don`t you!!!!"
This is the first mini ramp I have seen in Japan in over 3 years.
I love minis and this ramp is pretty much the same size as Dave and I built over 15 years ago in our backyard. It looks excellent.
So Im hanging to skate but I can hardly walk, so I decide to try it the next day when I can move better. the next day is my last day of vacation, the day I leave to go back to my city 400K`s away.
I spend a drunken night planning my first run on the ramp, doing 50/50`s within an inch of life, tail stalls and slides, frontside ollies, blah blah. Im stoked.
the next day a typhoon hits .
totally sucks dogs balls. |

what's that mean?
crack a fat - to be overly excited.
fat = a fat one/morning glory/ to stand at full alert/ salute the sunrise.
crack= to enter the state of the later noun/emotion/ being. crack the shits, crack an agro,
maybe it is an australian thing.
yeah, it was just a really dissappointing situation. no skatable terrain for 3 years and then the perfect place is rained out. |
