Gonna go to Skatelab this weekend, does anyone have any suggestions for wheels in the wooden bowl?

63.5mm 99a Shitfires or 60mm 99a Shitfire Blackfarts kill it in the Birch Bowl. Just make sure they're broken in on concrete (a trip down the sidewalk will do).

The first two sets of 65/95's I bought in 00 were great wheels.. I bought another set just before heading to SoCal in May of 01. This set was supposed to be 65/95 but were sliipery rocks. Total shit wheels. I almost killed myself skating that "blue" bowl and the Combi at a Van's in SoCal. (Orange?) I ended up using another guys wheels that night and putting my old BC's on it the next day. (Glad I brought them..) The later Duane Peters BC's were the same sorta wheel CRAP!

Those first two sets of BC wheels are on that 8 wheeler in my photo.

Outt..
Jeff

I've been having a blissful time riding my re-issue Stained Glass SC Bullets.

God those wheels are fast.

I found the shitfire blackfartz a little slippy for me in the Skatelab bowl even though they were well-broken in on 'crete (where I love them). I eventually adjusted but had to skate somewhate gingerly so that my rock-n-rolls didn't turn into reverts automatically. Some of the disciples seem to like the BDS 95a wheels and I now have a set of the bowl bombers in 64mm 95a that I will use in slippery situations like skatelab or other wooden things.

Others swear by the shitfires though so maybe i'm just a slippery type of guy.
