You can skarf 'em...
My question is this: How quickly do they go bad once they pass thier expiration date? I don't mess with pills all that often (I'm more of a alcohol, weed & pneumotussin kinda guy ) and I'm just curious. |

Good question...in my soma, percs, etc...and whatever else days, we just never thought about it. pop and go - see what happens - that's part of the fun...knowing if you're going to live.
Unknown Pills always scared me more than anything until that Peyote moment (Not a moment, more like 6 months)...
I have a source I can ask if you know what they are, or maybe the markings... |

No, no...
I know exactly what they are (Flexeril) and exactly when they expired (May). I was just cleaning out the bathroom closet the other day and found 'em. I'm sure they're still "allright", but I was just wondering about safety.
You'd think that after all the dumb shit I've put in my body, I'd know these things, but, pills always spooked my mule.
"What is that white powder?"
"I'm not telling you. Just snort it."
"OKAY!!!"
"What is that pill?"
"It's a Bayer Aspirin. See? Says Bayer right there on the pill. Take it."
"I don't know, man...." |

Flexeril is the trade name for cyclobenzaprine, a tricyclic antidepressant that functions as a muscle relaxant, but you need to take it for a few weeks for it to work well. Interacts with other medications, some potentially dangerous.
You should really be checking MedLine rather than a skateboard recipe forum for this kind of info. |

They are fine...take them you dope head. They don't work worth a shit anyway. The only people who think muscle relaxants are good are stoners who think something that's called a "muscle relaxer" must fuck you up! You could take 2 benadryl and pound a few beers to get the same effect as flexeril and beer. That way, you still have your cyclobenzaprine when you are having back spasms because you thought you'd get your disasters tuned in again.
I'm a pharmacist, most medications are fine well after their expiration date. Very few medications (certain antibiotics, anti-convulsants, heart meds, etc) can decompose after a certain amount of time, but most drugs that are manufactured into solid dosage forms (tablets & capsules) keep for a long time as long as they aren't narrow therapuetic index medications. I have some vicodin and darvocet in my closet from 1992 that I wouldn't hesitate taking if needed.
Creams, ointments, liquids, etc run higher risks of bacterial contamination and decomposition. If they are expired---RUN! just kidding, but they may not work as well, and may be separating out, have something growing in them or something. |

I think Zodiac and O_T wouldn't hesitate taking those if NOT needed. |
