Indeed. I learned much from her. I don't think the level of French culinary appeal would be anywhere near where it is in North America without her contribution.
I really wish she would have taken on an Iron Chef before she went  |

It always flipped my wig to consider the fact that she was basically a CIA agent in a former life.
I'll miss hearing her relating recipes in that queer, warbly voice of hers, and kicking culinary ass with those monster claws. |

My wife and i love to watch Julia and Jacques
a few weeks ago they were cooking some fancy gourmet fish dish and when it was done Jacques was going on about which wine he would suggest to have with the meal and he turns to Julia and says "which of the wines do you prefer with such a meal?"
without hesitation she answers "I like beer." and cracks open a Samuel Adams
i nearly pissed my pants
