Grip Tape Removal?

Aiighty!
I got a buddy carr that has the bds grip on it that was on it in the store. I wanna put something a bit more sticky on it and possibly do a cuztom design. Any tried and proven techniques for taking of grip?

just rip it up, do not use any heat at all
if you use heat you will have a goo problem

If you heat the board for 15-20 minutes before peeling, I't will pull up most the goo too. I did this recently to a board that was about 20 years old Grosso "Wonderland". Eucalyptus oil and a rag will take off any left over residue. The stain underneath looked as good as it did twenty years ago!

keep in mind to much heat will ruin the lamination glues

put it in the oven at 220F degrees for 2 hours.

you`ll find that the grip tape is no longer a problem.

Id try Gasoline - cover the whole deck in it (if you have time soak it overnight) then use either a match or cigarette lighter
