Thanks!

Howdy,
Mark, I don't know if they've shipped ot not.
I was looking to put together a "bomber" to
take with me on our family camping trips
this summer. Last year, I saw A LOT of hills
that were begging to bombed while driving
to and from our destinations, and was hoping
to have something with which to do some
"bombing runs" this year.
What kind of wheels would be good for this
kind of insanity? 70mm+? sub-85duro?
What about Seismic trucks set up "stiff" to avoid
the dreaded "wobbles"?
Any input is appreciated.

I cant imagine sacking up and taking a straight run down a steep hill!
But if you have the huevos of steel to pull that off, more power too you!

ill stick to carving hills that resemble the "bunny hill"

Rock on!

80mm for me, have two sets of downhill wheels right now, 80mm road weapons and i just got some brand spankin new cherry bomb wheels. they are 80 bucks msrp, and some dude sold me them with a set of bearing AND a set of randal downhills for 80. kryptonics 85mm wheels are good downhill wheels too. 78-85 duro i would suggest. use spacers correctly! and bomb bomb bomb

seth speaks the troof. big-ass krypto's would be good, and stable seismics or dh randals (i can order the latter).

Howdy,
Thanks for the input so far guys!
What about the Turner/3dm/Seismic 75mm
wheels(can't remember what the name of
those are) as a downhill wheel? Or the abec11
Flywheels? Lots of MASS going for those
wheels.
I've been really happy with the Seismic trucks
(aside from the difficulties encountered while
changing springs!!) so I'll probably go with
those.
Mark, if you hear anything about the PP Ditch
Killer give me a hollar please.
Thanks!

right, the flywheels ROCK for downhill, especially the 100 mm ones! the turners you speak of, the avilas, are okay, but slow if you ask me. IF you want to ride seismics for downhill, wait till the eurothane springs come out, i got to check out a set and that is what they were made for, downhill. i use normal spring seismics when i do longboard slalom and just got some randal dhs for bombing. if you are going under 30 mph, you should be fine with randal 180s though...

Right now the only trucks that I really trust at high speeds are randal downhill or pro comps. They just dont wobble, and that is VERY important to my welfare these days. I am riding them with 75 gumballs in 80 duro currently, and a comet pro downhill. I also have them on my bozi bomber with flywheels, a great speed setup. I really cant blab enough about how strongly i am for randals on the speed factor, my skin is rather important to me these days. I figure if they are good enough for street lugers, then what the hell right?

83mm flywheels are the shit!!! should be back out new and improved in the next month .... go for 75a or maybe 78... the 75a seems to be a "sweet spot" ... they'll ride nice and fast with the big old core in there.......
I had emailed Chicken about the Ditch Killer a while back and he was recommending Indy 149s or 159s............

Chris .. another KILLER deck to check out is the Fantail Hybrid Carver from http://www.noreasterlongboards.com
40" of super versatile handmade magic!
