Hi!I was checkin the posts and its clear theres a lot of concern about what companies really make and deal with US made decks because of all the recent moves of board production facilities overseas to China. There were several posts talking about wich companies had engraved or burned seals on top of the decks saying 100% US maple or 100% US made.I'm in Portugal,Europe, and yesterday I entered a Toys'r'us store and next to the bikes there were some complete skateboards.I picked one up to check it out,it cost $15,looked and felt just like the real thing, had the most awfull graphic i've seen in 15 years skateboarding and a small sticker at the bottom saying"made in china".Right next to them there were some boards. These had a burned seal on top saying"100% canadian maple-made in the usa"with a maple leaf symbol on top.The best thing is I turned it around and it was the same board! The same stupid graphic and even worse,it also had the made in china sticker even though the 100% US graphic on top.Just wanted to share this with everyone. After all, whoever makes the board can print whatever he wants on it. |
