I really want a longboard for this summer (and skating to class and stuff) and I just want to know if where you buy it makes a big difference. If I were to get the cheapest one i could find on ebay would it be crap compared to a sector 9 or some other name brand board?
Also, if I were to buy used, would it be a big difference? I HATE super wobbly trucks-do trucks get progressively looser after time. I know some older trucks I have do not get too tight anymore?
And last but not least, where would be a good place to get one for cheap? Any of you guys have some hook ups?

Well, thanks for the info, later dudes.

Buy a Barfoot from the only guy that sells them on eBay, Chuck Barfoot. Nice, super quality, and $110 complete with Torsion trucks and Kryptonics wheels.

You can see his whole lineup at http://www.barfoot.com, but he only sells the floral board on eBay - the other ones he gets the full $180 for.

IMHO, stay as far away from Sector 9 as possible.

it defidently matters who you buy from. dont really like sector nine. http://www.boziboards.com . the owner is a freind of mine. the boards are worth the little extra dollars. VERY high quality. hand made.

I would agree. For the type of board my mad bomber is it is the finest i have seen. Stiff, smooth and very finely constructed, it would be a definate good board to have.

Howdy,
Check out Afroman and Bulldog Skates.
Both companies make fantastic longboards.
Although BDS' Longboard only comes in at
38", it's awesome!
As for Afroman; the Numbchuck is a great
"short" longboard as well!
Both decks are very versatile and work ex-
cellently with many different set-ups.
