Recently scored this complete Vision Punkskulls in green.

Condition is very good, barely ridden (I'd say 8/10+), minor tail skid and a couple very small edge dings. I'm thinking a kid road this one around the block a few times then it got stored away for 35 years. Bottom art is in excellent condition. Gullwing Street Shadow trucks nearly flawless, Vision Freestyle wheels in green.

The ugly clear grip tape shows its age but you can see the skull and cross bones underneath still vibrant in color. Very tempting to replace the tape.

I'm not seeing photos of green Punkskulls anywhere. Would greatly appreciate any thoughts on rarity, ballpark value, or random/nostalgic reflections.

What do y'all think? Cheers.

linky not worky - copy the URL directly into the post.

there's likely to be little interest in the set-up, but the deck you mention is a fine piece of flashy 80's Vision cheese - one that'd probably make you earn 'poser!' hollers at the skatepark, but might cause some nostalgic admiration in a collection nowadays...

I wore punkskulls pants back in the day...

nice specimen - but does the wood have stress cracks, or is that the woodstain underneath? it's hard to tell, judging by the pics...

I wore purple punkskull pants complete with matching beret for the start of 8th grade.

The green stain has a verticle streak/marble pattern to it, which seems to show up more in photo glare than in real life.

I think that's what you are seeing. A few more higher-res pics below to add some more angles and lightning...

The last photo above catches the glare to attempt a close-up view...the blemishes are not really visible in normal light otherwise and are smooth to the touch. I guess I don't know what defines a "stress crack" exactly, versus normal aging/paint/woodgrain. No cracks in the board itself whatsoever.

That's rad!
I sold a basically nos but drilled yellow dip for under $500 about a year and a half ago if that helps.

I use to have a Vision shirt with that print.

Ok, perhaps a dumb question…is it bad l, in terms of value/collect ability, to remove (or replace?) old pealing grip tape? Best to just leave it be?
