My daughter is loving her little kicker ramp, so I’m gunna build a mini half pipe for her/us.
Only 8 foot wide.....6 foot tranny......8 foot of flat.....4 foot one end and 6 foot the other end.
Pretty kooky, but fits perfect behind the shed.
Thought I’d try something different with a higher wall backing on to the neighbours so our boards wouldn’t end up in their backyard.
Cut the trannies out of 12mm ply and braced them.....a lot of salvaged wood from next doors renovations.👍
Fabricating under the carport until everything is ready to put together.
Haven’t really skated in 4/5 years......haha.....I’m gunna hurt myself again................I’m back baby🤓✌🏻 |

Thanks guys.
My daughter is so exited and a little nervous about the “big wall”......whereas I’m just shaking my head at myself as I know I’m in for a world of pain....haha.
I thought I’d keep a running update on the construction as I’m building the bones of it from salvaged scrap from building sites and shit left out side factories etc.
I hope it can inspire first time builders or people on a budget that think a ramp costs too much money.
So if you see this on the side of the road.....
You can turn it into this.....’the stiletto transition’

Little bits of ply can be joined together with all sorts of scrap timber.

All transitions done for under $100 including glue and screws.
I mocked it up too see what it’s gunna look like.
Yay.......🤓👍
Back out on the road now to visit a few construction sites I spotted with heaps of crap out the front. |
