"Investigating" band/acts from the past

Lately I've been trying to check out the album cuts from people like Squeeze, Buzzcocks etc and 2nd tier "junkshop" glam acts. May even give Sparks & Roxy Music another chance (that will be tough!)

Also taking a look at Marshall Crenshaw & Dwight Tilley for the first time this week.

How about you guys?

Checking out anything you skipped entirely or just never got further than the singles?

Being from California, the only good music late 80's-90's was from here.
I'm older now.
Stiff Little Fingers are a fun band......
Talented musicians and great punk pop lyrics that wormhole your mind.

And although they aren't hardcore enough for ya-
the early J Geils band were a solid bunch of blues guys before they went mainstream radio.

Geez these guys are terrible. They're usually labeled "Power Pop" but in a Tom Petty way. So I was hopeful.
