Hey guys, I was really shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Jeff Grosso a couple of weeks ago, as I'm sure most of you were.
As a skater kid growing up in the 80s, Grosso’s style and outspoken personality made him stand out from most of his peers. But it was later in life that he became a prominent figure to me, representing everything I love about skateboarding - creativity, self expression, fun, and not caring about trends, hypes or fads. He called it like he saw it.
I stumbled upon a sketch on @jeremy_wray ’s instagram account. It really resonated with me, so I took the liberty of fleshing it out closer still to Grosso’s iconic 80s skateboard graphic from his Santa Cruz sponsorship days. Not only I thought it might be my humble homage to Jeff and his son Oliver, to let them know how much he meant to skaters of all generations, worldwide, but perhaps someone could turn this graphic into shirts, stickers etc and donate all proceeds to his son, as a way of giving back to him, and hopefully help him through these challenging times.
What do you think of this? If anybody knows a proper, legitimate way of doing this, hit me up.
Rest in Peace, Grossman. Your rants, laughter and skating will be sorely missed.

I would hit up Coan (buddycoan on IG) or glencharnoski on IG. They seem to be handling Grosso LL tribute stuff. |
