In case no one has brought this up, there are new regulations to ship overseas from the US and if you're not careful it will cost you. I've now had 2 shipments returned because the packages now HAVE to say either "Manual Skateboard" or "Non-Motorized Skateboard". It's an update in the regulations and US Customs will tell you that it's your own fault for not checking and they will not refund you the costs. Just FYI folks. |

Frank, I assume you're talking complete boards, not just decks.

Negative. Returned from Belgium "1 skateboard"; packaged weight 5 lbs. That shipment cost me over $100.00 to send to customer and I just had my claim revoked because "it's your responsibility to know the regulations on items shipped". With the advent of motorized skateboards the regulations have changed and apparently U.S. Customs is to damn stupid to realize that a motorized skateboard would weigh more than 5 pounds and wouldn't fit in a box 33" x 12" x 3"... I replied back with "well shouldn't it be the responsibility of U.S. Customs to know the weight and possible dimensions of items like motorized skateboards if they are going to be allowed to make calls on items w/o opening the package?"... I doubt I'll hear anything back from them on that one...
The Canadian package was 3 decks, also in a 33" x 12" x 3" box... That shipment (twice) was about $75.00.
On the 2 packages, shipped twice I've pretty much lost roughly $100.00 and pretty sure ended up not even recovering the cost of the decks I shipped. |
