Finally finished something that has been in my head for a decade or so. I made this skater guy from inlay scraps generated during the making of my banjo. I originally wanted to inlay this in a new picnic table we got but my wife veto'd that bill. I ended up using an old clock that had shit on it, had the crap planed off to also get a fresh surface to work with. After the inlay I stained the wood and a coat of finish.
Here's the original shape, but I had to rearrange his hair to fit the block of wood.
The picture doesn't do justice to the colors in the inlay.
