Okay boys... who remembers this one?
Flashback to 1998...
I had just gotten back into skateboarding after about a seven year hiatus, when I stopped off at my local skate shop, Offshore Surf Shop. There hanging on the back wall was this oh so familiar deck from only a couple years before I started falling out of the skating scene around 1991.
It was the classic Corey O'Brien Reaper graphics ripped directly from the Santa Cruz screen-shop itself. These graphics were DEAD-ON! I had to have this deck, so I asked the shop owner how much it was -- only $44.95. I must have been low on cash that day because I had to wait until the following week before I went back.
It was gone.
That was his only one, and from the sound of it, it was already an older release that had been on his wall for quite some time. His explanation at the time was that current skaters didn't appreciate the retro stuff, so it didn't sell -- until now.
My timing couldn't have been better, but it also couldn't have been worse.
Anyhow, I finally located another one in either 2000 or 2001. But it was the third most expensive deck I've ever purchased. It didn't matter... I had to have it.
So then, I'd like to try and find out some more specifics about this deck. Does anyone remember exactly what year this deck was released, how long Sonic was in business, if this was the only colorway, and what this deck might be worth today?

Yeah this was simon woodstocks company.
Nhs had just stopped making sma
The graphic was on purpose.
An attempt to sell another popcicle in a time when skateboards were dipping under 8 inches wide.
Should be fairly common. I am not up on what it is worth. |

Lloyd buddy, you crack me up. What do I have that you don't want? :lol
The name Simon Woodstock doesn't ring a bell -- does he / did he skate? So how long did his company last -- from when to when? Are there any good write-ups on them or their decks on the web? I'm coming across too much fluff and something to do with a hedgehog. 
Thus far, I've been able to deduce that Sonic Skateboards started producing skateboards no later than 1993, and stopped around 1998 -- with about 40 decks under their belt. My "Reaper" deck was apparently a 'team' deck produced in 1995. |

I beg to differ. That thing is rare. Only ever seen them in white btw. As far as value goes, I could see this fetching anywhere from $300 to $600 on ebay. |

He may have had something to do with the company, but I believe the majority owners were the Obrien's (Gavin & Corey).

Yeah I thought the O'Briens were the owners of Sonic Skateboards, Woodstock was their main skater, they had a video called 'One Louder'. Charlie Wilkins was on the team.
The deck is rare but suffers from what happens when old school graphics are put on a popsicle ie. they look bad cropped |

true, but the fact that it's white makes it look pretty awesome, the background graphic really pops. |
