what are the trucks worth? and what's the deck worth?

I'm not opposed to piecing it out, if I can get my "I don't want to sell it" price...

Wow... racist?? that certainly seems kind of strong... umm.. ok... thanks for your help.

The sarcastic wisecrack went right over your head, didn't it?

Seriously,a good portion of members here are more interested in OBTAINING vintage skateboard items. That skateboard of yours you found would be absolutely priceless if it were one of MY old set ups,but as you said you never were exactly distressed about being stuck in class and not able to skate like some of us.That's cool. What isn't cool is coming across as whiny when the consensus of value is not commensurate with your ambition to cash in. Put the McGill on E-Bay with a starting bid of $0.99 with free shipping and you'll find out what it's worth. You might even get as much as you feel you need. E-Bay is crazy lately for this kind of thing.

getocat, you've been an excellent help. Your posts hold so much information, it's really appreciated. (that's sarcasm)

So, from what I understand, I'm a whiny racist, and I should go to ebay to determine the value of my stake board.

If I should just go to ebay to get my information, why does this forum have a "value of a specific skateboard" section? (no need to answer this, its rhetorical). I was hoping for some help to determine the value of my board, and Biggie has helped.

Hopefully you don't represent the majority of the people on this forum. On other forums I belong to, people are there to help. Unfortunately, you are not here to help. No need for you to respond to this, and I'll be ignoring you going forward.

If anyone else has any other info on this, it would be appreciated.

Biggie.. If I decide to part it out, I'll contact you. thank you for your help.

You could have helped, but you've given me so much more.

They always say that there's always that "one". Guess you're him.

I don't think you'll find much more help here.

Ya got your average value. Keep it or sell it, maybe you'll get lucky. To me the white gulls are more interesting and probably less common than the deck.

Cool deck. Interesting way to mount the trucks. Nuts on top of the deck? $300 seems very reasonable as far as value. [/b]

what's ususally found under the risers? water damage? should I remove and find out?

The soft risers usually interact with paint underneath- when you take them off it usually removes much of the paint or you find that the paint has become gummy and will come off easily or the paint has become all swirled and weird-looking. If you are selling as a complete I wouldn't remove them, if you want to sell as deck only you will have to take them off. If it is clean under the risers the deck is usually worth more. If it is a gummy mess under the rises the deck is usually worth less.
