This was a gift from Tom Sims in late 70's. I had found one of his hand-made prototypes at a Goleta swap meet back then, called him up to see if he wanted it. I knew Tom from Haddonfield (NJ) HS and reconnected when I moved to Santa Barbara. In gratitude for giving him the "Sims Test Ski" prototype, he gave me this 36" long board. I used it sparingly...rides like new- All original, Energy Trucks, Pure Juice wheels...I'm too old to use it now (except for moving heavy objects occasionally). Tom was a talented kid...known for drawing excellent cartoons in class back in the day. See pics at:

It's not a longboard. Longboards did not exist back then when these came out, it was simply a skateboard. It's a Pure Juice deckâthey were available in like 5 different sizes.
If it was for sale from Tom it would be priceless, from you, or anyone else who is not Tom, $100 to $200. |
