Try Imgur, it seems to work well.

I've just left all the FB collector groups.
All the time the same ones who show off.
Kooks buy a deck and sell it 24h later, or even better raffle it, the best way to sell a 100$ deck for 300$.

Forums are my only form of "social media". Gives me more time to skate. Don't spend much time on the computer or phone. feels liberating.*except for twitter, for news.

i used to spend hours on this site as "xrudox". i had to sell off my collection for bills and never really got back into it. i still check up once in a while. i used to trade/bullshit with ghostcalvary (tina?) and i think smithgrind. mostly people who were heavy into black label.

You're still on the jukebox too, xrudox.

I miss Tina. She used to drop me a note every once in awhile.

I was proficient here for quite a few years and in the top ten posters for quite a while. For me 2 things happend that slowed me down: having a child and getting a full time job. I was posting heavily here while being a full time student.

I haven't collected since the early '90s - you can read my story in the Disposable Bible - I enjoyed the banter here amongst mostly older farts who loved skateboarding.

When I first signed up it was very intimidating: Hammerhead and Spyhill going at it over gun control, newbs being torn to shreds. I felt part of the club only once I'd got up to 1000 posts! There's like a generation thing here with the older original guys being relaced by others and then that happening again. Maybe we're in the middle of that now.

I think these factors are playing a part in all this:

The 2008 financial crash caused a lot of people to lose their jobs and stop collecting.

For a while collecting became so popular even banal decks sold for a fortune and this put people off.

Popularity brought some assholes into the game which is off putting when you used to be part of a small loyal crew.

The rise of smart phones and the difficulty of interacting on forums via a phone.

The ease of facebook on a phone.

Employers tackling internet use at work during the slump years as they tried to extract greater work for the same wage.
