Apologies if this comes across as spam but I thought you might be interested in a documentary that my old Neversoft colleagues are putting together on Indiegogo.

Basically, it's a film to chart the popularity of skateboarding and video games in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I'm not directly part of this project but I am a contributor due to my involvement with the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series.

I remember playing a cover disk of Tony Hawk Pro Skater back in 1999. After 10 minutes I was addicted, and a year later I moved out to LA (from the UK) to become part of the series. Joining a team of about 25 insanely talented developers, we toiled over the early versions. It was hardcore but the experience will stay with me for life. 18 years later, my friend Ralph is producing a documentary that charts both the game’s development and the rise of skateboarding in the 90s and early 2000s. Check out their Indiegogo page for more info.

All the best,
Jim

thanks Jim,
Looking forward to watching this video.
The Video games associated with Tony have been in a ground breaking position, just like Tony!

Hope the video actually has some reference to the "I.T. development involved"

that sounds awesome.

as a former video game industry employee... software developer... massive gamer... huge THPS fan (but only up to THPS 4)... lifelong skater... and Tony Hawk fan...

i reckon this could be a really awesome documentary.

just as long as it gets deep into the dev side... and the politics of working for/with activision!!!
