Sunday morning, rolling around the local beach side park, couple of kids, couple of older dudes, chill vibe. When up fronts the Australian Olympic skateboarding squad. And their physio. All 30 of them, hell shredders, but killed the session in a heart beat. The cream on the cake was the poser manager taking photos of the whole catastrophic mess from awkward (arty?) angles.
It ended with a free and frank exchange between a couple of folks, wondering if skateboarding was going to be fitted between equestrian and synchronized swimming when it comes to the flag bearing.
Anyways, I see the physio down there again today, the whole thing looks like some fast talking has been going on to get the squad together and receive funding. There is no governance structure in place, no high performance space, no documented selection process, no body knows what the events will even look like, if it will be a one off, etc but it is all gonna happen in time for 2020!!
Sounds like Y2K for skateboarding to me, get in on the ground floor if you can, your reward will be a golden shower! |

AOC is an amateur hour clusterfck, heck its been that for years.
Shame really.. the potential is there however your post is on par with what insiders have to deal with as well. |
