price guides of the past would have no bearing on todays prices.
k00ks galore and this market is so unstable cause of it.
some crazy cool rare shit slips by for fraction of its worth and common garbage ,boots and reissues get blown out of the fucking water...

there is no reason. no logic. just supply and demand and the k00k supply is at an all time high.

thats why you see best offers constantly... why sell yourself short ?

nobody knows anymore what's up or down.

in the end: its worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

just offer what it is worth to you.
if its too low, you wont get it.
if its just right, you will get it.
if its too high, you will get it. but you wont have paid too much, because you will have paid what it is worth to you.

You're not going to offend somebody by throwing out a price. It works like the Big Kahuna said above. There are always negotiations.

I'll be looking for you from my 70's booth at Skater-Trader. You'll be easy to spot, with the worried/concerned look on your face.

The hard part is that skateboards are bought and sold as art. The intrinsic value of the skateboard is very little- wood and paint...

unlike old sports cards made of valuable cardboard

Pretty much 99.9% of every sports card ever made is worth less than the cardboard it is printed on

really? i did the math. at current scrap value it would take 22,500 cards to make $1.
