All good on the central coast. About 8" of rain with 40-50mph winds - lots of flooding and trees down. Just days of nastiness. Three giant eucalyptus trees came down right next to the San Luis Obispo Skatepark; they landed in the roller hockey rink right next door....
We had a few hours of sunshine today so I went out and got my shred on early this morning before the clouds and nastiness came back for the next round. I dropped by the beaches on the way home and overhead surf is pumping at Pismo and Shell Beach. I'm sure the other spots are blowing up too.
Next week its the same thing all over again. |

This is the creek near my place the other day. It's usually not this high and the banks are much lower further into the canyon. The water is rushing through the canyon and they've had to close the road a few times because of slides. Two cars went into the water a couple weekends back, each with solo drivers. One got out, but another hasn't been found yet. Just 18 years old, very sad.

Ok over here, hope all of you are safe. We're not use to having this much rain. I need to get back up to Big Bear to ride!! |

Update - It sounds like they recovered the body yesterday evening.

i always get bummed when a person disappears... but when they are found... deceased... they become a 'body'.
in my mind they are still a person.
sorry mate. im not ragging on you or anything... its just something that happens in the media and everywhere. |
