It always feels like I'm walking on ice whenever I step foot on wet tile in Vans. I've eaten it once and have come close many times. I'm sure other shoes have the same issue, but Vans seem to put extra glide in my stride.

As you were.

Cause wet rubber is slippery on wet tile.

I don't like it, but I'll live with it.

I've noticed this too on my walk from Bart to work these past few wet mornings. New Vans == ice skating.

Cheaper rubber mix, with more plastic and less latex.

The fabric is a joke now, too. No more super thick rough canvas, just lightweight cotton.

But that's what you get when the price has only gone up 10 bucks in 30 years.

Vans quality sucks now, I've had two pairs of half cabs pro's recently and the midsole detached on both, from just walking in them!

Plus they are lethal on certain surfaces when raining etc.

Just chucked out my last pair of Vans and I don't plan on buying anymore.
