Hey guys,
Just sharing the news that I am stepping into a ED position running one of the biggest long term rehab centres in North America.
It is like a dream come true and is def a cherry on top of whats been a couple of tough years.
Ill be working in Vancouver, Seattle and Arizona.
The centre is long term, 2 years and for people 18-35.
You can definitely trust if you have any family fitting into that category that they will receive the care and life changing skills they need.
I was born to do this shit...so pumped...

Oh and its free

Congrats!

I couldn't do it—I have so little patience for the junkies I know and even less for those that are clean.

I am truly blessed mate to have the best job I could ever imagine for myself.
Private practice has been great but its a grind and outpatient changes are never as intense as inpatient.
100 plus clients at a time is some big changes to be a part of....

Always welcome people in recovery to share their story if you are ever in town

I like crazy, but I hate the junkie behavior, the lies, the winyness, the oh poor me shit... not all do that, its the few that do that annoy me.

I have an old friend that has been clean for 6 months now and I forgot how stupid he was before he dove into the coke, meth, crack, morphine and his primary, Oxycontin. He's even more annoying clean.

I was using Morphine and Demoral when I had my back injury in 2000—good times when all you can do is lay on the floor and watch tv. I kicked it over the weekend when I saw my work at the newspaper was getting a little sloppy. Felt like having a mild flu for a few days.

After my neck injury and subsequent spinal surgery earlier this year I was taking 160 mg of Oxy a day plus 6 Percocet and some Dilaudid. Kicked that a couple months ago. I just take a couple percocets a day when I'm having a particularly painful day now—I like the relief and the sense of well being it gives but I can't be walking around fried with a, now, 7-year old—so that's as far as it goes.

Sean - When he relapses I'll send him. But you have keep him. LOL!!

Dudes that act like that usually don't stay clean. Glad you were able to cut down, not an easy task!
