Made these a while ago and I'm still happy with them. I never skated anything else since 1996 and I always was a huge fan of their message and artwork.
I sent these designs over as well and some team riders were very positive about them (or they were just being friendly )
Just stating that I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I just made these as a tribute and the guys seemed to like them.
Dedicated to the great Don Pendleton, Mike Hill and Chris Carter.
The Church deck is the new Alien leader speaking towards a crowd of abtuctees. You can see a plug in the back of their heads where they get plugged into machines to get brainwashed.
The other decks are the 'abduction series' which just shows the abduction process.

Good stuff. Way better than the recycled garbage they're putting out these days. |

Thanks a lot limb!
Unfortunately I agree, they're graphic department is definitely not what it used to be... but I do like the new 'dreamer' decks a lot. The priest-series were also very nice. But most stuff is either recycled like you said, or just not that interesting.
I wish Pendleton or Mike Hill would just take over again completely and make stuff like the early and mid-nineties. Even the more 'earth-tone' vibe would be cool.
The stuff I showed here is just the stuff I wished they would make, or what I would like as a '16-year old kid'.
Thanks again. |

They should hire you as art director. Haha. I just hate how minimalist rehash or lazy logo decks seem to be the norm these days. Art and skateboarding are so intertwined it sucks to see art overlooked to save a buck.
Always awesome to see people being creative. Keep up the good work. |

you're absolutely right. The marketing/graphics department is often the first part where they start to 'cut' when things are not going so well.
Unfortunately these are very important elements of the skateboard industry because you're literally riding a board with 'art' on it...
And on a sidenote skeletonwitch kicks ass! |
