Help wanted! I recently purchased this board, and I've been on a mission to track down its original owner, and/or, just simply figure out what the origins are at all. This was a Craigslist buy, and it was bought off a guy in Tennessee. I've asked around a bit already, and have turned up almost nothing. Some of you may have already seen this before. If you have any info or opinions, I would love to hear it!

A few details:
- I purchased from a guy in Tennessee (he didn't know much about it)
- has "Tom Thumb" Hobby shop stickers on it, which was a shop in Illinois
- has several California skate park stickers
- late 70s model (maybe 78/79)
- stage ONE 131 Indys
- sims snake conical wheels / German bearings
- shape similar to late 70s pig shape sims or G&S models
- measures 10.5" x 30"
- base routes seem deeper than usual
- board is lightweight - maybe 4-5 ply only
- board seems to be hand painted white/black
- three-hole rails may be zflex
- experimental model signed by someone with "TH" initials
- seller thought the signature spells the name "Tim Higl" - but not sure

I don't recognize the routed design, it could be a one off, maybe a kid in school woodshop. I'll ask around in my FB group and see if anyone has any info.

I was beginning to think the same thing... But even if that's the case, it would be badass to find this Tim Higl dude and send a shout out! If you hear anything, please let me know! Thank bro

tom thumb (evanston IL) actually just closed a few months back after about 40 years in business. They were the retail portion of aWH. They also sold craft supplies.

There were a bunch of cats back in the early '80s routing their own boards—and they looked just like that with blacked out wheel wells and channels. Often it was done on Z-flex boards in these parts.

That's a kick ass score.

If it were me who let it go, I'd probably be regretting it to this day.

Good luck in your search. But don't be surprised if the guy wants it back.

Here's one I actually have a pic of

When I first saw the pic of that board I thought it was a radio station sticker on it: New Wave 105

I remember those Tom Thumb ads too.

Very cool board.... and perplexing.
